Henry Tufts (1748-1831) was a career criminal specializing in horse theft and jailbreaking, residing primarily in New Hampshire and Maine, with an additional involuntary stay in Massachusetts. Luckily for those of us living today, his recollections were published in 1807, immortalizing a fascinatingly dissolute and eventful life.
